Technology Design Technician

Office: Kansas City
Location: Kansas City

Applicants for this position must be fluent in the following areas as they pertain to daily duties:

  • Technology Design including but not limited to the following systems:
    • Telecommunications
    • Access Control
    • Security
    • CCTV
    • Audio-Visual Systems
    • Public Address
    • Nurse Call
    • Wireless/DAS Networks
    • Fire Alarm Systems

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sit in and participate in client meetings and communications.
  • Have constant communication and feedback with mentors and team leads.
  • Candidate will learn to design/engineer all aspects of technology systems.
  • Candidate will be responsible for production of construction documents and assist with construction administration.
  • Evaluation of technology systems product to stay up to date with cutting edge design practices.
  • Coordination of technology systems with other engineering disciplines.
  • Report preparation and presentation to mentors and team leads.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an accredited college or equivalent experience encouraged.
  • RCDD, NICET, CTS, or CTS-D certifications are encouraged.
  • 2+ years full-time experience in the A/E/C industry.
  • Understanding for the construction/contractor industry.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for client contact.
  • Ability to organize and handle multiple project assignments.
  • Revit skills are preferred but will train as needed.
