Civil Design Engineer

PEC's Municipal Transportation team provides a multitude of services including transportation planning, roadway and bridge design, traffic engineering and construction administration. The Design Engineer position is fully supported by the entire Municipal Transportation team. This is a position that offers personal and professional growth in the transportation engineering field. Position Duties and Responsibilities:
• Performs engineering design, coordination with design staff on plan production, and construction administration on projects.
• Uses experience, education, and judgement to make informed decisions.
• Effectively communicates and coordinates with the Project Manager and other team members.
• Effectively utilizes design software to complete project assignments.
• Ability to organize and handle multiple project assignments.
• Prepares quantity take-offs for use in construction cost estimates and engineering fee estimates.

• Reviews project submittals for compliance with design checklists and drafting standards.


Qualifications:
• A minimum of a B.S. Degree in an appropriate field of study from an accredited college.
• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam; Intern Engineer (I.E.) Credentials are expected.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
